Partnerships Executive
About the Role :
As the Partnerships Executive at League of Originals, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and expanding our client base in the form of event sponsorships. You will be responsible for sourcing, managing and nurturing relationships with key accounts, closing high-value deals, and delivering exceptional service to our sponsors. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong sales skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and sell the value of our business model. Your contributions will be vital to achieving our ambitious growth targets and cementing League of Originals as one of the most valuable brand-communities in the marketing space. This role requires proficient lead generation abilities, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to close a wide variety of business types.

Key Responsibilities:
- Client Acquisition: Identify, target, and secure new clients and sponsors through strategic outreach, networking events, and relationship building
- Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure continued satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling
- Customer Success: Retain and upsell existing clients. Operate as the main point of contact for all existing sponsor related questions
- Sales Strategy: Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and execute effective sales strategies and campaigns to meet and exceed monthly/annual revenue targets
- Proposal Development: Create and present tailored proposals to prospective clients, demonstrating the value and benefits of League of Originals events
- Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations and close deals, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for both the company and the client
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to strategically position our offerings
- Product Knowledge: Maintain an in-depth understanding of League of Originals’ event types and aligned sponsorship packages to effectively communicate value propositions to clients
- Pipeline Management: Manage the sales pipeline and ensure accurate forecasting and reporting of sales activities and performance in CRM (HubSpot)
- Collaboration: Work closely with the leadership, production, and marketing teams to align strategies and leverage resources/insights effectively
- Client Support: Provide exceptional post-sale support to ensure client satisfaction and foster long-term relationships
- Be Original: Think creatively about ways to enhance client engagement and drive sales. Take ownership of your role while utilizing available tools and resources to achieve success
You might be a fit if you:
- Are based in LA. Open to remote or hybrid
- Can work well in a fast-paced startup
- Have at least 3-5+ years of experience in sales or account management, preferably within the e-commerce, marketing or tech industry
- Have a proven track record of closing high-value deals and managing key accounts
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts
- Have strong organizational and time management abilities
- Are highly motivated, goal-oriented, resilient, and can handle rejection
- Are adept at using CRM software (e.g., HubSpot) and various sales tools
- Are passionate about building and nurturing client relationships in the marketing landscape
Bonus points if you:
- Have a deep understanding of the eCommerce and/or retail industry
- Are open to travel and support sales efforts for both external and internal events throughout the year (conferences, trade shows, dinners, meetups, etc.)
- Have experience in business development for event-based business models, particularly in selling sponsorships to tech companies

OTE Range
$75,000 - $120,000
